Directions
- Lay the Blanket on a Flat Surface
Choose a space that is completely flat and provides sufficient room for the blanket to be fully unfolded, and a surface that is heat resistant to avoid damage while the blanket is in use.
- Set Temperature & Duration
Switch the sauna blanket on, set your temperature and a time duration.
- Beginners to spend 10 to 15 minutes, 4 times per week.
- When accustomed, spend 30 to 40 minutes, 4 times per week.
- Preheat
The length of time needed to preheat will depend on the temperature you have set. In general, you should allow 5-10 minutes for the device to reach operating temperature.
- Dress Appropriately
When using a sauna blanket you need to cover your body in clothing from neck to toe. This prevents direct contact between your skin and the hot blanket surface. You should change into something loose-fitting that feels comfortable against your skin.
- Climb In
Position your body inside the blanket, with your neck and head always on the outside of the blanket. Then, wrap the blanket closed around you and redo the velcro or zipper.
- Lay Back & Enjoy
Once inside all you have to do is lay back, relax, and enjoy. The infrared heat energy will begin working its way into your body and gently warming you right to the core. Use this time to practice breathing exercises or some meditation. If you begin to feel uncomfortable at any time, switch the device OFF and climb out.
- Cool Down
When your session is complete you should allow yourself some time to cool down. Your body will be at an elevated temperature and it will take time to readjust. You may find you continue to sweat during this time. Rest up for 5-10 minutes and your body will slowly work its way back to regular body temperature.
- Shower & Freshen Up
Rinse off immediately after your session in a shower. Not only is this a rejuvenating and invigorating experience, it will wash away any impurities and toxins flushed to the skin surface while sweating, and help you cool down.
- Clean & Pack Away
Follow the care instructions to clean the Infrared Sauna Blanket, and pack it away.
Tips
- Use It At the Same Time Nightly
To maximize the benefits of your sauna blanket, use it at the same time before sleep. This helps imbed the biological sauna effects into your circadian pattern, making it more potent over time.
- Hydrate
You’ll sweat in the sauna blanket increasing your risk of dehydration. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after sessions.
- Right Temperature
Take your time to find the right temperature and duration for your sauna blanket sessions. Always build up higher heat and longer times over days and weeks of usage.
- Listen to Your Body
If at any time, you experience adverse effects during or after a sauna blanket session (for example, dizziness or nausea), then stop using the sauna blanket and consult your doctor.
