Celluvac to the rescue!

Feb 9, 2015Carol Burgers

We all know that once cellulite has formed it can be a stubborn, lingering and exasperating problem. The good news is that with mindful eating, drinking plenty of fresh water and raw juices, as well as following your easy-to-use Celluvac Program you'll be well on your way to combating this troublesome condition affecting so many of us women today. Cellulite strikes women of all ages, colors and creeds, the rich and the poor, the healthy and the sick, the young and the old...So one way or another there is no way of escaping it in our current times without a little intervention. But why Celluvac? Celluvac is based on the ancient Chinese treatment of cupping, which stimulates the lymphatic system, extracting toxins and aids a sluggish system return to normal with continued use.  Running the celluvac cups along a lightly oiled affected area, serves to both lift and extract toxins, making them mobile and easy to eliminate via the lymphatic system. Drinking plenty of water and fresh raw juices, green vegetables in particular,  can help immensely in this elimination process. Using your Celluvac program for only 15 minutes a day is all you need to give your cellulite the boot for ever. Like bathing and brushing your teeth, Celluvac should be part of every woman's daily beauty routine!Carol BurgersIAHB/ITEC (Austria) DIP.Reflexology/Shiatsu/Aromatherapy/Massage

Understanding Cellulite

Feb 2, 2015Carol Burgers

In this article we'll discuss the dimpled appearance of the skin, and what causes it. This dreaded condition is more commonly known to us all as cellulite. Cellulite manifests itself by generally targeting the thighs, buttocks, lower limbs and to a lesser degree the torso. If left untreated, it can become very severe and hard to eradicate. The word Cellulite is sometimes confused by Cellulitis. Cellulitis is in fact term for the infection of skin and its underlying connective tissue. Cellulite (also known as adiposis edematosa, dermopanniculosis deformans, status protrusus cutis, gynoid lipodystrophy, andorange peel syndrome) is the rupturing  of subcutaneous fat within fibrous  connective tissue that manifests topographically as skin dimpling and nodularity, often on the pelvic region (specifically the buttocks), thighs, lower limbs and abdomen. Cellulite occurs mainly in most post-pubescent females History of Cellulite The term was first used in the 1920s by spa and beauty services to promote their services, and began appearing in English language publications in the late 1960s, with the earliest reference in Vogue magazine; "Like a swift migrating fish, the word cellulite has suddenly crossed the Atlantic." Its existence as a real disorder has been challenged, and the prevailing medical opinion is that it is merely the 'normal condition of many women'. The prospect of sales creates an incentive for disease mongering. Based on recent research, it is more likely that cellulite is a natural part of the human body than a disease Causes The cause of cellulite include metabolic changes, physiology, dieting too hard or too much, sex-specific dimorphic skin architecture, alteration of connective tissue structure, hormonal factors, genetic factors, the microcirculatory system, the extracellular matrix as well as subtle inflammatory alterations. Hormonal factorsHormones play a dominant role in the formation of cellulite.  Estrogen may be the important hormone to initiate and aggravate cellulite. However, there has been no reliable clinical evidence to support such a claim. Other hormones, including insulin, the catecholamines*, adrenaline and noradrenaline, thyroid hormones, and prolactin, are all believed to participate in the development of cellulite. Genetic factorsThere is a genetic element in individual susceptibility to cellulite. Researchers  have traced the genetic component of cellulite to particular  polymorphisms in the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) and hypoxia-inducible factor 1A (HIF1A)  genes. Predisposing factorsSeveral factors have been shown to affect the development of cellulite.  Sex, race, biotype, distribution of subcutaneous fat, and predisposition to lymphatic and circulatory insufficiency have all been shown to contribute to cellulite. LifestyleA high stress lifestyle will cause an increase in the level of catecholomines*, which have also been associated with the evolution of cellulite. Certain dieting practices can also diminish the level of these chemicals, and decreasing body fat typically results in the reduction in appearance of cellulite *Catecholamines are water-soluble and are 50%-bound to plasma proteins when they circulate in the bloodstream.  (In the human body the most abundant catecholamines are adrenaline, noradrenaline and dopamine.

Many Beauty and Health Therapists are now recommending NATUROPATHY.Naturopaths  believe that the underlying cause of cellulite may be the typical modern western diet, as it contains too much starch, fat, protein and sugarA naturopath practitioner will prescribe a diet that includes lots of raw fresh vegetables and a minimum of eight glasses of water a day.  Keep in mind that tea, coffee and other liquids do not form part of the required eight glass quota. The naturopath may also advise you to combine the diet with 30 minutes general exercise three times a week to improve circulation and general fitness.  However, remember that it is important to check with your doctor before embarking on any exercise regime, to first establish whether you are fit enough to commence a fitness program and if so to determine at which level  you would need to begin exercising.Combine this natural, healthy approach, with your Celluvac treatment, and getting rid of cellulite will be so much easier, with long-lasting effects.   Carol BurgersIAHB/ITEC(Austria)DIP.reflexology/shiatsu/aromatherapy/massage

Improve Your Circulation

Dec 5, 2014Carol Burgers

You can improve your circulation just using your Celluvac cups for 7 minutes, twice a day. But if you want to do more, naturally, add body brushing to your daily beauty routine. BODY BRUSHING Body brushing  (or skin brushing) is a technique claimed to remove toxic wastes directly through the skin, and to stimulate the lymphatic system. Use a long-handled, natural-bristle brush or a friction glove available from chemists and follow a daily routine. Like brushing your teeth, brush your body after getting up in the morning, and then last thing before going to bed. Brush your whole body - except your face - starting gently, then using a firmer action as you get used to the feel of it.  Start at the feet, including the soles, then move up the legs, back and front, using firm sweeping strokes  Brush from the hands, up the arms and across the shoulders, then brush the back and buttocks  Using a gentler action, brush your stomach with clockwise, circular strokes, and then brush the chest and neck  Finally take a shower, warm water for about 30 seconds, then change to cold water for 30 seconds, repeat several times and dry off  Don’t forget to do your Celluvac for 7 mins afterwards for maximum impact!

So...You Have Cellulite

Nov 21, 2014Carol Burgers

But there’s no need to be embarrassed!  As many as 90% of all women have cellulite in at least one area of their body. While there’s yet a cure to be found for cellulite, it is possible to diminish, as well as prevent it. The easiest way to do this is to know what exactly causes it. has yet to come a cure for cellulite, it is wise to know what causes it, to prevent it or at least diminish your chances of getting it. So What Is Cellulite? Cellulite is the appearance of dimples and bumps of subcutaneous fat affecting the texture if the skin.  Many women refer to this texture as either a "cottage cheese" or "orange peel" effect. Cellulite is most commonly developed on the buttocks, thighs, and hips.  Most doctors believe that cellulite is caused by poor circulation and bad elasticity in the skin. How Does This Happen? When an over production of fat cells occurs, these fat cells become too large for the natural fibre compartments which hold the skin. These compartments then bulge, as they are trying to accommodate the load. In turn this creates uneven layers of fat underneath the skin’s surface - and cellulite appears. How Can I Prevent This? First and foremost try to eat correctly; wherever possible avoid fast foods, starches, fats and sugars. Keep the alcohol levels low ,and drink plenty of fresh uncontaminated water to help flush out the system.  Remember that it is important to keep the circulatory system working at an optimal levels at all times to prevent a sluggish lymphatic system housing impurities and toxins. Good news is that a 75 % raw food diet is claimed to prevent cellulite forming, to eliminate existing cellulite and to prevent further build up. In further posts we will discuss exciting raw juice combinations that if taken daily, will keep the dreaded cellulite monster at bay!
